That takes the....Brisket!

Asked the butcher for the best cut for the slow cooker, thankfully there was no mention of horse meat, but still surprised that he said brisket.

But it was so tasty I had seconds!

So simple to make too:

Put some sliced onions in the slow cooker with a couple of bay leaves
Place the brisket on top
Add a little stock
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.

Serve with mash and cabbage, we made gravy from the juices.

It was really a great warming Sunday lunch.

  1. I think you've managed to do something I've never been able to!! Make Roast Beef in the slow cooker. I always tend to overcook it but this looks perfect. Thanks for joining into Slow Cooker Sunday. :-)
